OAU Matriculates 6,500 Students for 2014/2015

The Obafemi Awolowo University last week matriculated 6,500 students for the 2014/2015 academic session.

In his speech the Vice Chancellor,Prof. Bamitale Omole said, “I will again like to congratulate you because gaining admission to OAU and standing here this morning to take the matriculation oat has not been an easy journey and indeed, it can be likened to the proverbial camel that successfully passed through the eye of the needle.

“This is because out of over 30,000 candidates that chose OAU as their first choice, you are among the 14,000 that scored above 200 in UTME and among the 6,500 that were finally admitted to the university.

He urged the new intakes against joining cult groups as the institution has zero tolerance for cult activities.
