The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen.Tukur Buratai, has said the Nigerian Army will handle more Boko Haram, activists and different hoodlums in 2018.

The armed force boss made this known at the 2017 rising of the Aso Rock mountain by officers and troopers of the Guards Brigade, in Abuja.

He charged officers and troopers to be on the alarm and stay submitted in the battle against revolt desolating the upper east and militancy in the Niger Delta district.

Buratai stated: "2018 is promising for us as we are fight prepared to wrestle insurrection the nation over", he said.

"What's more, we are additionally prepared for the insurance of our regional respectability with the joint effort of other paramilitary and security offices.

"The activity is a declaration that you are physically fit. It is great due to the preparation. I compliment you for keeping up the standard.

"From 1986-1993 I was a piece of the Guard Brigade. We encouraged all of you to keep exclusive expectation of the calling."
