on: February 13, 2018, 11:35:46 PM

A set of conjoined twins were on Monday successfully separated by a team of doctors from the Doctors on the Move Africa in Bauchi.

The doctors are in Bauchi to provide free medical services to residents of Bauchi.

The successful operation was carried out at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, (ATBUTH), Bauchi.

This was disclosed by the media aide of Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Iliya Habila, who shared the photos of the operation on his Facebook page.

According to him, the medical outreach was sponsored by his principal, Yakubu Dogara.

He said: “Conjoined twins have been successfully separated by Doctors on the Move Africa in the ongoing free medical treatment sponsored by the Rt. Honourable Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.”

The medical outreach would also provide other medical services like outpatient consultations, ultrasound scan, provision of reading glasses and cataract operations.

Laboratory tests for Lassa fever, HIV/AIDS, diabetes and hepatitis would also be provided to the residents of Bauchi
