He explained that both singers are playing different crucial roles in Afrobeats adding that people should acknowledge that. Speaking in an interview with Hiptv, he expressed confidence that Wizkid does not like such comparism, adding that all the singer is trying to do is idolise the legendary of the Afrobeat musician and human rights activist. This statement was triggered by Wizkid’s fans who compared him with Fela after he emerged the first Nigerian to sell out Royal Albert Hall, London. He lauded Wizkid who has become an international sensation by promoting African sounds globally, saying that he (Wizkid) is making Africa proud.
