The Nigeria Football Federation have reportedly confirmed that the Super Eagles will play England in a friendly next year.
It was gathered that the game will take place in a yet-to-be disclosed venue in June.
The Secretary-General of the NFF, Mohammed Sanusi, disclosed this. “We plan to play a friendly against England in June before the World Cup,” Sanusi is quoted by Score Nigeria as saying.
He also said the Eagles would play a game in Abuja before the tournament. This is to thank Nigerians for their support during the qualifiers, it was learned.
The last time both sides met was in November, 1995. David Platt scored the only goal of the game at the Wembley Stadium.
