We're going to find whether "Get Out" and "The Carmichael Show" scene-stealer Lil Rey Howery is a star in his own right. The up and coming "Uncle Drew" stars Howerey as Dax, a down on his fortunes Harlem road ball devotee. Dax embarks to crush his road ball adversary (Nick Kroll) with the assistance and tutelage of "old-clock" Uncle Drew (Kyrie Irving).

Empowering is the way that "Uncle Drew" is coordinated by Charles Stone III, whose delightful film "Step Sisters" was as of late discharged on Netflix. (Truly, try seeing "Advance Sisters." It's fun and extremely savvy, and it will ideally dispatch Megalyn Echikunwoke, who you may recollect from Whit Stillman's extraordinary "Maids in Distress," into motion picture fame.) Here's the summary for "Uncle Drew:"

In the wake of depleting his life reserve funds to enter a group in the Rucker Classic road ball competition in Harlem, Dax (Lil Rel Howery) is managed a progression of heartbreaking difficulties, including losing his group to his long-lasting adversary (Nick Kroll). Frantic to win the competition and the money prize, Dax unearths the man, the myth, the legend UNCLE DREW (NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving) and persuades him to come back to the court once again. The two men set out on a street trek to round up Drew's old b-ball squad (Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson, and Lisa Leslie) and demonstrate that a gathering of septuagenarians can at present win the enormous one.

"Uncle Drew" opens on June 29th.
