Dangote, who has held an interest in buying Arsenal for several years, confirmed he would pursue a takeover in two years.
According to the Financial Times on Tuesday, Usmanov had grown frustrated that the club’s majority owner, Stan Kroenke, was unwilling to engage in takeover talks.
The Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has reportedly put a 2020 timeline on his goal of purchasing Premier League side Arsenal.

“We will go after Arsenal from 2020 … even if somebody buys, we will still go after it,” Dangote told Reuters.
Dangote added that the need for healthy cash flow until completion of his oil refinery project rules out a move for Arsenal before then.
