Posted by: Miss Ifeoluwa« on: June 10, 2023, 02:19:53 AM » The suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has been arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS. Emefiele was earlier suspended on Friday by President Bola Tinubu. Tinubu also appointed Mr Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi as the acting Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, in replacement for Emefiele. According to the source, the DSS had even gone to court to secure an order to effect Emefiele’s arrest for alleged terrorism financing when contacted, the Spokesperson of the Service Dr Peter Afunnaya declined comment.
