18 Stolen Vehicles Recover in Osun By Police

The Osun State Police Command has recouped 18 stolen vehicles from a syndicate.

The recouped vehicles contain 12 Toyota Camry, four Toyota Corolla, one Toyota Highlander and one Nissan Sunny.

Aside from the vehicles, one privately made gun with one live cartridge and one used cartridge, charms and 13 bits of six yards of Ankara, were recuperated from the syndicate.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Fimihan Adeoye, while parading the suspects at the police home office in Osogbo on Tuesday, said the vehicles were followed to where they were kept and recuperated by his officers.

The CP said the suspects – Timothy Adeleke, a 40-year-old occupant of Owode, Ogbomoso, Oyo State; Olufemi Akoodu, of the Apete zone, Ibadan; Kehinde Badmos, of Agubelewo, Osogbo; and Olusola Adenle, an inhabitant of Aderin, Osogbo – were captured regarding the vehicles.

The CP stated, "In December 2017, an instance of a stolen vehicle was exchanged from the Osogbo Area Commander's office, together with one Toyota Camry, with the number plate, BDJ 519 EY, having a place with one Mrs. Nasir Fatima. The vehicle was expelled from where it was stopped on Osunbukola Street, Dada Estate territory, Osogbo.

"A group of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, drove by Oshimi Aderonke, and a group under the summon of Felix Adaramola, swung without hesitation. The investigation drove the group to Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti and Edo states, where the instigator, Kehinde Badmos, and different individuals from the pack were captured. We recuperated 12 Toyota Camry, four Toyota Corolla, one Toyota Highlander and one Nissan Sunny."

The CP said the suspects would be charged toward the finish of investigations.

Adeleke, who claimed to have begun taking vehicles three years back, said he sold one of the autos to one Sola.

Badmos, while portraying the strategy the posse utilized as a part of taking vehicles, stated, "We would open the auto and push it far from where it was stopped. A while later, we would push it away."

The presumed instigator said he knew in regards to five of the recouped autos, however did not know anything about the rest of the vehicles.
