Two Yahoo Yahoo Pastors Serving 17 Years Jail Term Get Another 26 For Scamming N32.5m From Victims.

Pastor Glory Okeoghene Aberefa and Reverend Vincent Okpogo have been indicted and condemned to 16 and 10 years detainment separately by Justice F. N. Azinge of the Delta State High Court sitting in Otor-Udu.

The team, nearby their organization, Mustard Seed Micro Investment Limited, were indicted by the Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Under the pretense of running a money organization, the convicts cheated many clueless members of general society of a great many naira, through their fraudulent Mustard Seed Micro Investment Limited.

They were summoned on 16-check charges, verging on connivance to take and taking, in opposition to Section 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code, CAP 21, Vol 1, Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.

On June 19, 2017, they argued "not guilty" to the charges.

EFCC legal team members, V. O. Agbaje and K. U. Udus had followed up on an appeal and examination which fingered them in the taking of the whole of N32,516,620.

Pastor Aberefa was condemned to one year detainment on every one of the 16 tallies, while the subsequent litigant, Reverend Okpogo was condemned to one year detainment each on check seven to 16.

The sentences are to run consecutively.

The convicts, as of now in jail, were prior imprisoned 17 years by both the Federal High Court, Asaba and Delta State High Court, Warri.

They would now carry out another punishment, which Justice Azinge said would produce results after consummation of the surviving 17 years detainment.
