The Police Command in Enugu state says it has arrested four persons during the Saturday local government election in the state.
The election was conducted in the 17 council areas and 261 political wards in state.
The Police Public Relations Officer for the Command, SP Ebere Amaraizu, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu.
He said, “Four persons were arrested at Obeagu Amechi in Awkunanaw community within Enugu South Local Government Area, following the explosion in the community far from any polling centre.
“They are helping the operatives in their investigations.
“The explosion at the coal camp axis of the state in the morning of Nov. 4, before the election took place at a spare parts workshop by the entrance of the road.
The road leads to the polling station but the incident never interfere with the electoral activities.’’
