Four people have passed on and 10 people were truly harmed in various auto accidents which happened along the Abakaliki-Enugu Federal Highway on Monday.

A Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) who went to the scenes of the mischances, reports that the first happened toward the evening while the second happened during the evening after a deluge.

Mrs Stella Uchegbu, the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Ebonyi Sector Commander, revealed on Tuesday that four people kicked the bucket in the second mischance which happened at the Ukwuachi intersection of the street at around 9 p.m.

"Two people were protected alive in this second mischance which included an Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EDDC) vehicle with number plate LND 448 BR.

"What's more, a Peugeot 406 vehicle having a place with the Ebonyi House of Assembly with number plate EBHA 37.

"Examinations uncovered that this mishap was caused by speeding and loss of control as the street was tricky because of the deluge.

"Six people were engaged with this second mischance as a shaper was utilized to cut the destruction of the vehicles to recover the driver's body caught inside the vehicle.

"The driver of the Peugeot was evidently flushed in light of the fact that a container of lager was found close to him by the protect group,'' he said.

Uchegbu said that the main mischance included an explained vehicle and a Nissan transport with 18 inhabitants: 16 guys and 2 females.

"No life was lost in this first mishap yet 10 people were genuinely harmed, while eight people were unhurt.

"This mishap which happened at the Ishieke intersection of the street was caused by perilous overwhelming and loss of control,'' she said.

She noticed that the dead were cleared to the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (FETHA), while the harmed in the two mischances were likewise accepting treatment in a similar clinic.

"We will proceed with bid to drivers to obey movement directions, particularly this blustery season since important lives are lost constantly,'' she said.
