EFCC Raids Club 57 In Ikoyi, Arrests 12 ‘Yahoo Boys. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Lagos Zonal office, on Friday, May 11, captured more than 12 presumed web fraudsters famously known as 'Yahoo Boys' amid an attack Club 57 in the Ikoyi region of Lagos.
The office affirmed the attack in an announcement on its Facebook page.
The apex anti-graft commission said: “EFCC operatives stormed the popular Club 57 on Awolowo Way, where the suspected “yahoo yahoo boys” were rounded up, following intelligence report.”
“While some of the suspects abandoned their exotic cars to avoid arrest, some others put up resistance, thereby turning the environment into a war-like zone of sorts.
“However, a total 10 cars were recovered from the suspects during the raid that lasted about three hours.
“The suspects will soon be charged to court when investigations are concluded”.

“Acting on intelligence report of activities of suspected Internet fraudsters. While some abandoned their exotic cars to evade arrest, some others resisted. 12 suspects were arrested, with 10 cars recovered.”
