We found that in the collision involving two buses, a white commercial bus and an unregistered shuttle bus, 11 people had suffered varying degrees of injury. Public Education Officer, Anambra State Federal Road Safety Corps, RC Kamal Musa, who disclosed the news of the crash, said it happened on Sunday after 5 pm. In a fatal accident involving a mini white bus belonging to the CDO transport company with registration number BGT 313 XA and a white truck with no registration number, six people were killed and 11 wounded. At 1710hrs evening, 22 November 2020, an accident was reported at Nkwelle Junction along the Nteje-Onitsha expressway. The eyewitness account reaching us suggests that the accident occurred as a result of excessive speeding, resulting in the loss of bus control and subsequent crash. “A total of 17 people; 11 male adults and six female adults were involved in the Crash. 11 male adults who sustained varying degree of injuries were rushed to Iyi – Enu Hospital, Ogidi by FRSC rescue team from Nteje Unit Command.” He added that corpses of the six persons who were killed in the accident have been deposited in a Mogue after Doctor’s confirmation.
