Commissioner for Police in Adamawa, Mr Olugbenga Adeyanju, announced the development while parading the suspects in Yola on Monday. "Dangerous firearms seized during the arrest included 5 AK 47 assault rifles, 2 single barrel guns, 1 G3 and a revolver pistol. The Commissioner said the suspects have been apprehended at the state's Fufore, Maiha, Gombi, Mubi North and Yola North LGAs. He said in connection with the recent conflict between Lunguda and Waja tribes in Guyuk and Lamurde LGAs, the 16 arrested for allegedly triggering tribal violence were apprehended with dangerous weapons. On the locally identified miscreants as Shila boys who terrorize people, Adeyanju said some of them had been apprehended. "The Command also apprehended two suspects, 28-year-old Bamanga Bello and 36-year-old Ilyasu Shayibu for criminal conspiracy and illegal possession of human eyes. "The suspects were Toungo LGA residents; the suspects were apprehended by Command operatives attached to Ganye Division."
