After a biokineticist was taken from Gqeberha on Thursday, IOL reports that Cape Town Police are looking into a kidnapping.

According to reports, Nelson Mandela Bay's Riana Pretorius was taken from one of the area's busiest streets.

Pretorius was taken from outside a Newton Park medical practice, according to Herald Live.

The publication revealed that the biokineticist was taken from Pickering Street, despite the fact that there is currently not much information available regarding the incident.

Armed men allegedly forced her into a white Toyota Corolla.

At this point, there is no indication of the number of suspects involved.

On social media, prayers have been pouring in for Pretorius' safe return.

There have been reports that the vehicle Pretorius was transported in has been found, but authorities have not yet confirmed this.
