Police in Osun State have confirmed that a woman, identified as Mrs Marian Ogundipe has died in an accident that occurred at Iragbiji road, Kelebe area, Osogbo on Monday.

Police Public Relations of the command, SP Yemisi Opalola told InsightMedia that the accident involved a Honda Odyssey car, with registration number ABJ 117 LT who lost control and hit an oncoming motorcycle carrying three passengers.

The passengers are wife of the motorcyclist and his two children.

The police spokesperson said the two children and their father (motorcyclist) were rushed to nearby Omogbolahan Specialist Hospital for treatment, while the corpse of the deceased has by taken for burial according to Islamic rite.

The driver of the car was rescued by the police led by the Divisional Police Officer of Iludun division, and the two vehicles have been handed over to state traffic department for further investigation.
