Delta Police PRO Reacts To Video Of Woman Accusing Police Officers Of Forcefully Arresting Her Husband.

SP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson of the Delta state police command, has reacted to a viral video of a married woman, Adebisi, weeping profusely as she accuses police officers of storming her home to arrest her husband without any warrant of arrest.

The woman who spoke in Yoruba alleged that the officers acted like criminals, broke her compound at about 3am and then invaded her home to arrest her husband.

She said she inquired from the officers what police station they were from but they refused to tell her. She claimed the officers told her that they will call her later today to tell her where he husband is being detained.

In another video she released, Adebisi said she is yet to hear from the officers as to where they were from or where her husband is being detained. She said her husband's phone has been ringing but no one is answering.

She said she has reported to the different police stations in her community but all of them claim they do not have her husband in their custody. She said she is scared that the men who invaded her home could have been kidnappers who disguised as police officers.

The video has elicited reactions from Nigerians with many slamming the police for the alleged forceful entry into the couple's apartment.

Reacting to the video, Edafe in a post shared on X, asked Nigerians how they know she is indeed telling the truth before attacking the police.

‘’ Do we have to believe her simply because she said it? Which police station was he taken to? Why was he arrested in the first place? Reasonable minds will ask this questions and not just jump to abuse the Police. Same police we always run to at the slightest opportunity''
