According to Saharareporters, A standoff is currently taking place in Abuja's Mpape between a group of armed robbers, the police and the Nigerian Army after a first-generation bank was attacked by the hoodlums.

It was said that the armed robbers raided the bank, sporadically shooting into the air to scare people away.

They were said to have been able to enter the banking hall. The police and the army arrived on the scene shortly after gaining access, but the robbers refused to come out of the bank.

It was found that one of the robbers who tried to force his way out was shot but stayed indoor with gunshot injury.

As the security agents were making efforts to break into the bank and end the siege at the time of filling this story.
