An armed robber awaiting trial has been apprehended by operatives attached to the Ondo state police command for committing a fresh robbery.. Kola Ogunbiyi was arrested after allegedly robbing a police inspector of his vehicle at gunpoint in Akure, Ondo state capital. The robbery suspect was apprehended alongside Oluwafemi Ayodeji by operatives from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Akure.
According to reports, the culprits were part of a five-man armed robbery gang who had been on the watchlist of the police.
The suspects were paraded along with other criminals who were arrested at different locations across the state, according to the Spokesman of the state police command, Femi Joseph. Police operatives also displayed some dangerous weapons recovered from the hoodlums which include one AK 47 rifle, a double barrel gun, daggers,cutlasses and charms.
