Several young people reportedly died in a stampede on Wednesday, December 18, during a giveaway event organised for kids in the Bashorun area of Ibadan.

Hours earlier, an announcement was made for parents to bring their children to the address of Agidigbo FM in Ibadan for free gifts, courtesy of the former wife of Ooni of Ife, Queen Naomi.

Parents reportedly trooped there with their kids for Christmas gifts but there was a stampede which allegedly resulted in multiple deaths.

One Facebook user claimed her sister's son was "involved".

Some X users claim bodies of children were taken to a hospital in Ibadan.
