A baby was over the weekend killed in Ore, headquarters of Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State when a car rammed into a shop.

The tragedy also led to the injury of no fewer than three persons in the area.

The accident, which involved a Toyota Camry with number plate KSF 77 EZ, occured along the busy Ore-Okitipupa highway.

According to an eyewitness, the driver of the Toyota Camry who was on high speed swerved and rammed into the shop while trying to avoid hitting a motorcyclist.

The driver drove on top speed, and rammed into a shop and killed a baby, leaving others injured.”

The baby was said to be sleeping when the vehicle rammed into the shop.

The Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ore, Mr Sikiru Alonge, who confirmed the incident disclosed that four persons were involved in the accident.

He added that three persons were injured while one person died on the spot, stressing that the injured victims were taken to the General Hospital in Ore.
