Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed in a night fire outbreak at the office of Daily Trust’s major distributor in Kano state, Alhaji Bala Yaro, Daily Trust can report.


 

Speaking to our reporter on the incidence, Alhaji Bala Yaro said the fire started few minutes after 11pm Monday when most traders around the busy Galadima road had closed for the day.

He explained that “I have lost everything to the fire and up till today (yesterday), we could not ascertain the cause of the fire. I have left the office intact only to be called in the night and informed about the fire incidence.”

Yaro added that owners of other shops around were even lucky that the fire didn’t escalate, as according to him no security or fire service personnel visited the scene during the unfortunate incidence.
