The mishap occurred at Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State. The dull green Honda Civic vehicle with enlistment number AA 160 KMC was originating from the Gujungu Jahun street at top speed when it hit people on foot while endeavoring to maintain a strategic distance from a culvert. A PREMIUM TIMES reporter who saw the mishap said nine of the people on foot, generally ladies and youngsters, were killed. The harmed casualties were hurried to the Jahun General clinic. One of the casualties, a pregnant lady, was among those hurried to the healing center where she was worked upon trying to safeguard her child. Mother and child were later announced dead. When reached on Sunday, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Jigawa State, Angus Ibezim, forewarned drivers against over speeding.
