Three suspected members of an Ogoniland cult have been apprehended by Rivers State Police command personnel.
The suspects were also found with a pistol made locally.
Grace Iringe Koko, the Public Relations Officer of the command, said in a statement on Wednesday that men from the anti-cultism unit of the command carried out the action after receiving a tip from the Gure community in the Khana Local Government Area of the State.
On January 9, when police stormed the cult gang's camp, the operation was carried out.
The statement says that Kensuanu Loveday, who is said to be the cult gang's executioner, Myimaka Only, and Junior Mbo were among those arrested.
The suspects, according to the police spokesperson, will be brought before a judge and charged.
She reiterated the command's commitment to minimizing crime and criminal activity to the bare minimum.
