Armed robbers are reported to have killed two persons during an attack on a bank in Ilawe Ekiti, Ekiti state.
The robbers killed a policeman and a bank worker in the operation that lasted for more than one hour.
According to a source, the policeman, yet to be identified, was an orderly attached to a chairman of one of the councils in the North-central state.
The robbers were said to have invaded the bank beside Alawe’s palace and broke the security door with the aid of a dynamite before entering the banking hall.
They went away with an unspecified amount of money, eyewitnesses said.
