On Wednesday, Dagmar Raudam and Annie-Lise Mjaatvldt, long-term observers for the EU Election Observation Mission, informed online news publishers of the readiness of the international organization. Raudam stated to the OOPAN members that as part of their mission in Nigeria to observe the general elections in 2023, they found the association worthy of working with to accomplish their goals. She explained that for the purpose, their colleagues are in a different state across the country. She also emphasized that the EU Election Observation Mission is there to observe the general election process rather than to support any political party. Annie-Lise Mjaatvldt also praised OOPAN members in her own speech, expressing her satisfaction with the online news publishers after learning about their involvement in elections in the past. Jare Tiamiyu, the association's chairman, praised the EU's long-term observers for the Nigeria 2023 election for their willingness to collaborate with OOPAN. In addition, he said that the members of the association will continue to act professionally as journalists before, during, and after the general elections.
