The management of the school confirmed the development in a circular dated November 30, 2022. It said the ongoing students’ week activities would be suspended immediately over a “gunshot in the college by some unruly personalities earlier today.” The undergraduate’s death is the latest after a handful of tragedies that struck the school over the past months. In September, one Bello Akerodele Adisa, a final-year student was killed. The deceased was shot dead in front of his faculty, Art Complex at about 8pm. In August, a student identified as Kunle, governor of HND 1 quantity survey department, was shot and killed at the school’s sports complex while watching a football match. On July 28, 2021, Tosin Osatuyi, a final-year student of the college’s civil engineering department was killed while celebrating the completion of his final examinations. He was at an event centre where he and his friends had gathered to celebrate.
