The son of Professor Godswill Obioma, the late registrar of National Examinations Council (NECO) has spoken about his father's demise.
According to him, his father died as a result of brief illness.
Prince Godswill Obioma II, son of the late Professor said in a statement on Tuesday morning on behalf of the family that his father died after a brief illness.
“Dear Sir, this is to formally inform you that my father, Prof. Godswill Obioma, the Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO passed to eternal glory yesterday 31/5/2021 after a brief illness,” he wrote.
Prince Obioma also notified the management of NECO and the Board as well as the staff members of the passing of his father due to a brief illness.
There had been reports suggesting that the late NECO registrar might have been strangled in his room on Monday evening in his apartment in Minna.
