Claims by auto aficionados that singer Davido’s highly-celebrated Porsche gift to girlfriend, Chioma, is N10m-worth tokunbo Porsche and not a N45m brand new car has gone viral.
The sources claim that the vehicle is not a brand new car as painted by fans of the singer.
The auto aficionados also explained that even a brand new Cayennes is sold for less than N45 million and taking a close look at the car, it is a 2011 model which is worth $25, 000, an estimate of N10 million, without tax inclusion. They further estimated the amount of the car to cost N20 million, which they agree is a large amount of money but nothing near the N45 million claims making rounds on social media.
Giving more insight into the cost of the car, the source revealed that even the 2018 edition of the car isn’t up to N45 million.
They claimed the retail cost of the 2018 model is $65000 which is about N24 million. But, within Nigeria, the price can be less than N40 million depending on the buyer’s bargaining strength.
It should be noted that Davido has not claimed he got the car for N45 million.
