American rapper Doughboy Roc has been gunned down in Detroit following a social media feud.

The 29-year-old rapper, whose real name is Rodney Yeargrin, was shot in his car, a white Hyundai, on Monday.

Detroit police found his body at about 3:30 pm in his car, which was parked close to an abandoned field at Stoepel Street and Westfield Avenue.

Doughboy Roc reportedly received multiple gunshots, including one in his right ear and other parts of his body, before he died.

Police intelligence pronounced him dead at the scene.

Hundreds of people huddled the area as soon as news of his death spread.

So far, no suspect has been identified.

According to reports, Rodney was in the midst of a “social media beef” with local gangsters.

He has a son named after him.
