A few hours ago, organisers of the Headies called for entries ahead of this year’s edition.

This means that against all odds the award ceremony will hold this year and fans can’t wait for what kind of drama and controversy it’ll come with.

Still fresh in the minds of Nigerians is the war that started right on stage between Olamide and Don Jazzy last year.

As we count down to this year’s event, we can’t but imagine if Sony Music act, Davido will make good his promise at the Headies this year.

Remember that in 2015, Davido advised YBNL’s Lil Kesh to ‘pull a Kanye’ at the Headies if he doesn’t walk home with ‘Next Rated Award’. Well, Olamide did it for him and the rest is history.

Then on January 10, 2016 Davido tweeted;

His new act in this context is ‘Eleko’ singer, Mayorkun. In reality, Mayorkun can’t win or even be nominated for the NEXT RATED category this year.

He’ll have to start from the ‘Rookie of the Year‘ category, which may not please Davido, so we’ll wait and see how he reacts and if he indeed has it in him to pull a Kanye or better still, an Olamide at the Headies.
