The Mavin Records boss has a long history of discovering raw talents, and developing them to superstars, but in his long history, he has never worked with a rapper. The Mavin Records boss admitted to Pulse that he has two rap acts signed to his label, and will unveil them to the public when the time is right. “I have to rappers signed, but it is not yet time to unveil them. When the time is right, I will.” Don Jazzy revealed. Don Jazzy currently has five singers signed to Mavin Records. They include MAMA winning singer Tiwa Savage, Bestselling pop acts Dr. SID and D’Prince, Mavin super trio Reekado Banks, Korede Bello and D’iJa . e had earlier worked with Wande Coal and D’banj. Don Jazzy has also revealed that he is open to working with D’banj. The pair were once owners of the defunct music label, Mohits Records, but fell out in 2011 due to irreconcilable differences. They have since patched up in 2015, with the pair engaging at a number of events. The high point came at the MAMA 2015, when D’banj in a stunning move shocked the continent by dedicating his ‘MAMA Evolution’ award to his ex-business partner. “Of course I will work with D’banj.” The Mavin Record boss told Pulse. “But we have been too busy. He is travelling to a lot of places, and I am working with my artistes. But we will work together.” Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records will set another record on December 23 this year with a marathon year-end concert holding in Lagos, the country’s commercial capital. The Access Mavin Concert will hold at Eko Atlantic in Lagos, on December 23, 2015.
