On March 27, the happy couple married in an intimate ceremony in Atlanta. According to Vogue, the couple was looking forward to spending time with their friends and family on this special day. “We were also looking forward to celebrating with all of our friends and family. However, owing to COVID, we had to postpone all of our wedding plans. We quickly learned that life is too short after Jeezy's mother passed away unexpectedly. And, at the end of the day, everything Jeezy and I decided to do was get married. As a result, we wanted to turn our initial wedding into a mini-mony, where we exchanged vows in front of our friends and family. And at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife. So we decided to turn our original wedding into a mini-mony, where we exchanged our vows in front of our immediate family and a few close friends,” Jeannie told the magazine. Mai and Jeezy got engaged after dating for nearly two years. On March 27, 2020, the rapper popped the question at home in Los Angeles, while the pair was isolating due to the pandemic. The two met when Jeezy was a guest on Jeannie’s daytime talk show The Real. “Years later, he asked me out on a date. We shared a romantic sushi dinner in Los Angeles and salsa danced the night away. Later that evening, he asked if I could picture spending the rest of my life with him. And crazy enough, I could.” Congratulations to the happy couple! See photo
