So far, dates in Glendale Arizona, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, Columbus Ohio, Indianapolis, Washington DC and Detroit have all been affected.Justin Bieber is seemingly shifting the blame of his significantly low ticket sales to the coronavirus , after he was forced to move his upcoming concerts to much smaller venues.
The Canadian singer, 26, is due to embark on a 45-date North American tour from May until September, but it seems as though the tour may not be as big a hit as he originally planned.
Ticket sales for the tour have been weak, leading to organisers to downgrade the venues the pop star was due to perform in from stadiums to arenas.
But now Justin, who is married to model Hailey Bieber , has claimed that ticket sales are low as a result of fans not wanting to risk being around so many people with the virus spreading fast.
Variety reported : “There was no official announcement from Bieber’s social media accounts, although eight arenas posted notices on Twitter telling fans that the show has been moved to their venue from a nearby stadium.”
The only explanation for the downsize was due to “unforeseen circumstances” - however the publication has pointed the finger of blame at coronavirus in light of Texas-based music festival SXSW cancelling completely for 2020 as a precaution over health fears.
