In December of last year, this was a much-publicized event. The police said they had found a 1911 Remington gold-plated .45-caliber pistol loaded with six rounds of ammunition. They also say that they found a bag containing cocaine, ecstasy, and oxycodone for personal use. Upon landing at Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport following a flight on Christmas eve from California, federal agents searched the rapper's plane. Lil Wayne pled guilty to the gun charge on Friday in Miami, reports TMZ. His sentencing is scheduled for next month. He is now facing up to 10 years in prison. Wayne’s chef, who was traveling with the rapper, had about $20,000 in cash in his possession, according to the authorities at the time. They also recovered Vape cartridges that featured Lil Wayne’s face on the boxes. The federal search was conducted by investigators with the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives departments as well as Miami-Dade police officers. This news comes shortly after reports that Wayne has sold his masters to Universal Music Group for $100 million. He recently released the video for his song ‘Something Different‘ from his No Ceilings 3 mixtape.
