The rapper pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to possessing a firearm without a license, the case originally being from 2007. Prosecutors dropped all other charges that over a decade led to a lengthy legal fight. "I understand this was a lengthy path for you and hopefully it's going to be the end of it," Judge Leon Tucker informed the rapper, NBC reports. Philadelphia prosecutors lauded his criminal justice reform advocacy and charity work over the years since his initial 2007 arrest on drug and gun charges. Prosecutors will be not re trying the Philly emcee for the other charges, making Meek officially a free man from all the court hassles. https://www.instagram.com/p/B1q9PriHUQc/ “I wanted to thank everybody whoever stood for me,” Mill said to his fans after the court hearing. “I’m very thankful from the bottom of my heart.” A few days ago, Meek partnered with Amazon and Jay-Z for the Free Meek documentary which chronicled his battles with the legal system and ultimate victory.
