MTV MAMA 2016: Final Round Of Nominations Revealed

The final round of nominations for the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards has been revealed.

The second round of nominations revealed nominees in seven award categories including Artist of the Year, Best Female, Listener’s Choice, Best Breakthrough, Best Francophone, Song of the Year and Video of the Year.

Setting the pace in the prestigious Artist of the Year category are Nigerian artists Wizkid and Yemi Alade, who go head to head against South Africa’s Black Coffee, Kenyan group Sauti Sol and Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz.

Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage got a second nomination in the Best Female category, where she faces strong opposition from fellow countrywoman Yemi Alade, Josey (Ivory Coast), Mz Vee (Ghana) and Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania).
