Naira Marley, a Nigerian singer turned activist, gave the police a week to reform the infamous Special Anti-Robbery Squad or to lead a major demonstration.

Remember that he wanted to protest against the police, but sent a message saying that the Police Inspector-General must reform the police.

The government also added its voice via the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, by asking Naira Marley to shelve the proposed protest.

Naira Marley, reacting on Twitter, declared the cancellation of the rally.

He compose:

"We won’t be protesting anymore because there’s a lot of changes being made right now. As a Marlian we will give them a week to see the changes and if there’s no changes we will start a mass protest. #togetherwecan."
