Olamide Reacts To NBC Banning His Song
on: August 22, 2017, 02:42:52 PM

Following its recent controversy, Olamide’s new record ‘Wo’ has been banned by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC). The record is one of five songs which has been tagged by the NBC as “Not to be Broadcasted.” The corporation released the list, saying it has banned the 5 songs from being aired on all local radio and TV stations. The songs are: Olamide‘s 'Wo' and 'Wavy Level', Davido‘s 'Fall' and 'If(Remix)', and 9ice‘s 'Living Things.' There has been no official reason why the songs were blacklisted.

I have no intentions of promoting tobacco to get people killed, Olamide says.

YBNL boss, Olamide has reacted to the airplay ban NBC (National Broadcasting Commission) placed on his club banger, ‘Wo’.

According to the indigenous rapper, he has no intention of promoting tobacco to get people killed with his music. The ban came after Federal Ministry of Health led by honourabe Minister Isaac Adewole said Olamide’s new street anthem ‘WO’ is in violation of Tobacco Control Act 2015.
