Olamide Respond To Nigerians Reaction On Logo Benz Track

Nigerians Attack Olamide And Lil Kesh For The Blood Money Lyrics In ‘Logo Benz’. The chorus is even more controversial as Lil Kesh warns women to not spread their panties in public because of said money rituals. The chorus goes thus;
“I dey pray to Jesu, Jesu, owo wole, if money no enter, I go do blood money.
“I dey pray to Allah, Allah, owo wole, if money no enter, I go do blood money”.

Olamide respond to this, posting on Twitter on the 21st of December that he had no idea there was something known as too much awareness because all he believed they were doing with such song is to create awareness on what is presently going on in the society by making that the subject of their song.

The singer went ahead to apologize for creating too much awareness but also defending his action by saying issues like these are also talked about in the movies and the reactions are different.

This explanation is definitely not being accepting by Twitter users that have come across it or fans that also love him as they further expressed their anger at not just his explanation, but on the song which seems to be promoting the ills of the society but they’re other fans who seem to be in support of his explanation, justifying it with the same reason Olamide did.

Awareness is usually done to bring positive things to light (e.g cervical cancer screening) and educate people on the need to stop wrong practices e.g FGM.

People took this Olamide line in #Logobenz too serious. Man was probably speaking in 3rd party form and saying the minds of desperate ones who do rituals to buy Benz and not actually saying he’ll do money ritual.
