Prior to this, her greatest gap between albums was around four years, so the wait for the Navy has been difficult, despite all of her other endeavors. Today, Rihanna was in Los Angeles for the debut of Fenty Hair, which appears to be another huge triumph for her. When speaking with Entertainment Tonight during the event, she discussed new songs and shared some opinions that would delight some fans while exhausting others. Rihanna describes music as a rediscovery process for her, and she has been working on the record for so long that she has put most of it away. "Now I'm ready to return to the studio," she continues, implying that she will essentially restart R9 from scratch. She did mention that she does not wish to ignore the music she has created over the years. "I wanna actually go back and like, listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I still am in love with." Check out the clip below. As a fan wanting new music from Rih, are you taking this as good news or bad news? If she’s being sincere, it could be a few more years before we even get an album campaign started. But who can blame her?
