Top Nollywood actress, producer and movie director has been up and down in order to promote her new movie Victims. The CEO Mag Divas announced via Instagram the private screening of her movie on November 1, in Lagos.
In an interview, Mercy Aigbe said her movie addresses domestic violence, especially among married couples.

She said: “Victims is about a young lady who had to go through a lot of things in life; most importantly, things she didn’t call for but she was born into. A lot of people go through a lot of experiences not because they brought it upon themselves but maybe it’s a curse or destiny. It is an emotional movie and full of suspense. (It’s a) movie that I know, if it eventually hits the market, people will ove and learn from it.”

She also said the movie ‘teaches morals.’

She said:“I believe that now-a-days people don’t really respect the institution called marriage because they are not patient enough to want to bear so many things that come with being in such a union. They just forget that they are different individuals who come from different backgrounds and have different upbringing. They are not ready to compromise on so many things. They are just not ready and that is why so many marriages are not working.”

The movie stars top Nollywood actors Olu Jacobs, Seun Akindele, Saheed Balogun, Fathia Balogun, Mercy herself  and Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim. It was directed by Lancelot Oduah Imasuen.
