Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were in devastating form from the off for Barcelona as they scored five goals between them in the Catalan side’s 6-2 win over Real Betis on Saturday.

The reigning champions got the Liga campaign off to a perfect start, with Suarez grabbing three goals and Messi netting another two and getting an assist after Arda Turan’s opener.

A free-kick and a late goal from Ruben Castro gave the visitors some positives, but Luis Enrique’s men were too devastating for Gus Poyet’s side as they laid down a marker in the first league game of the season.
