It looks like Chelsea are back to surge towards the top of the table after securing their first three point-haul of the new campaign. James Morrison’s early penalty, saved by Thibaut Courtois, looked to be crucial when Chelsea took a 2-0 lead thanks to Pedro and Diego Costa. James Morrison scored twice, but sandwiched in-between was a rare goal from Cesar Azpilicueta. And, one of the big talking points was John Terry’s sending off on 54 minutes. Twitter, as usual, was quick to react to Chelsea’s win with many hailing Pedro for an excellent debut, with the Spaniard bagging a goal and a brace within the opening 45. The Baggies and Salomon Rondon showed a lot more fight than they had done against Manchester City in their opening game but have just one point from three games… #WBA 2-3 #CFC (83') – 3 Spaniards have scored (Pedro, Costa and Azpi) for the 2nd time in a #BPL match (Michu, Rangel and Pablo, 09.02.2013) — MisterChip (English) (@MisterChiping) August 23, 2015 Helluva debut! #Pedro #cfc — Kevin Pietersen (@KP24) August 23, 2015 Very impressive debut from Pedro. Not so well played Matic and Cesc. #CFC — Sam Tighe (@stighefootball) August 23, 2015 Mourinho appeared to shout into the technical box mic at the final whistle … have Sky broadcast what he said? — Sam Wallace (@SamWallaceIndy) August 23, 2015 You can see from Jose's reaction at the end that it was a big result that for Chelsea. — Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) August 23, 2015 FT #WBA 2-3 #CFC The champions are up and running, but they made hard work of it. 15 efforts apiece (via @ StatsZone ) pic.twitter.com/tp3gEVLyhv — Stats Zone (@StatsZone) August 23, 2015 A brilliant team performance both with 11 men and 10. Debutant Pedro was brilliant – he, Diego and Azpi got our goals before HT. #CFCLive — Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) August 23, 2015 Weird ad boards.
