The lady recognized as Celeste Ayala was caught in her uniform, breastfeeding a seven months old infant who was crying. She was among a group of officers who conceded six kin into state authority on August 14, because of abuses at home. It was learnt that at the hospital where the children were being attended to, the youngest sibling, about seven months was crying when Ayala requested permission from staff of the hospital to breastfeed him. Marco Heredia, a colleague of hers shared the photo on Facebook while applauding her kind gesture. The police woman who is said to be breastfeeding a 16 months old daughter in a chat with Argentine television show Cronica said she didn’t hesitate for a second. “I didn’t doubt it for a second. So I pulled out my breast and he became calm.” She later met with the minister of security for the Province of Buenos Aires, Cristian Ritondo who notified her of her promotion. “Today we received Celeste, the officer who breast-fed a baby at the # LaPlata Children’s Hospital to notify her of her promotion. “We wanted to thank him in person for that gesture of spontaneous love that managed to calm the baby’s cry. The police that make us proud, the police we want,” Ritondo wrote on Twitter.
