Police have affirmed the killing of four individuals in a shooting in the eastern Canadian town of Fredericton.

Police on Friday approached occupants of the zone to stay in their homes.

The police later affirmed that they have captured a presume in charge of the shooting.

"Right now we can affirm that we have one think in authority," Fredericton police said in a Twitter message.

The conditions of the shooting in the capital of New Brunswick region were not quickly known.
