Donald Trump motorcade was involved in a road accident while the president was traveling in Louisiana on Tuesday. According to reports by journalists traveling with the president, the accident involved 2 bikers in the convoy and some officers reportedly sustained varying forms of minor injuries. The motorcade reportedly slowed down on its way from Lake Charles to a liquefied natural gas export facility in Hackleberry where he was scheduled to speak. At least two officers were reportedly spotted on the ground. Mr Trump’s vehicle, an armored limousine, is believed to be fine, USA Today reports. Images of the crash show one officer in a grassy area between two lanes on the highway, apparently in the process of sitting up. Another shot shows an officer lying down on the side of the road while receiving assistance. Motorcycle escorts stopped to deal with the accident, and some of them returned later to the motorcade, Reuters reported. The accident did not impact the movement of Trump’s motorcade, Secret Service spokesman Mason Brayman said. The motorcade continued on to the Cameron LNG Export Terminal in Hackberry, where Trump toured the facility. Later, he gave a speech promoting U.S. energy policy.
