US President Donald Trump says he is trying ‘so hard’ to be friends with North Korea leader Kim Jong-un.
North Korea’s state media agency KCNA had accused the US President of escalating tensions between the two countries “to the extremes” and called on America to “oust” its leader.
“No-one can predict when that lunatic old man of the White House, lost to sense, will start a nuclear war,” KCNA had said. But Trump responded by saying: “Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me “old,” when I would NEVER call him “short and fat?” Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend – and maybe someday that will happen!” he tweeted.
Trump made the comment after attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit in Danang.
