Netflix has officially confirmed that Extraction 3 will be released after the sequel proved to be a big hit on its first weekend.

On June 17, Chris Hemsworth made the announcement at Netflix's TUDUM event that a third Extraction film is already in the works with returning director Sam Hargrave due to the success of Extraction 2.

The conclusion of Extraction 2, in which the mysterious new character played by Idris Elba recruited Tyler Rake (Hemsworth) for a second, certain-to-be-dangerous mission that will take place in the subsequent film, already set the stage for a third one.
